Sheila

11 August 2010 Sheila lost her battle against cancer and died at the West Cornwall Hospital on her Birthday. Our thoughts are with the Family at this time. Sheila was an inspiration to us all.
God Bless you Sheila and you will always be in our thoughts.

SPONSORED HORSE RIDE FROM ST JUST IN PENWITH SUNDAY 9 MAY 2010

Sheila Jackson is not the sort of person to back down from a challenge, but the one that presented itself in January 2009 was not the sort of challenge any of us really want to face.

Breast cancer was diagnosed, but hey, she thought that she would turn a negative into a positive!

Sheila decided that she would like to do a charity ride to raise funds for the Mermaid Centre at Treliske in Truro. A decision that was no light undertaking. Sheila is not only a mother, she is also a grandmother, and though she has bred horses, she has not ridden since she was a child.

9 May 2010 - Sheila had a major operation 10 days ago and managed to ride part of the way. Chaucer was a star. Just so well behaved.
Sheila rode for about 2 miles, and Neil and Caitlyn walked with her with our dogs, she then returned to the RFC and little Caitlyn rode Chaucer with Neil and her mum, Jayne and of course the dogs!
